About Amy P.

Amy is a Libra sun and is originally from Houston, but moved to Austin in the late 90’s. She was a drummer in school, and got her start in entertainment at bars and nightclubs with a burlesque troupe she curated (before it was modernized!!).

 

She is one of the Satan’s Cheerleaders,  and has traveled the world by way of dancing and tour managing bands. Amy is a perpetual seeker and loves to learn, heal, travel, and create. She has a cosmetology license, is LCDC certified, and is a RYT200. She has been teaching yoga since 2014, and is known for her unique, all-level classes. Her Dark Yoga classes became a staple for Austinites that desired an inclusive space to stretch and learn. These classes include curated lighting, paired with heavy alternative music.

 

Amy loves to embody the duality of the light and dark in her classes, and encourages her students to leave feeling empowered by that energy. She is creatively inspired by sound, lighting, and water, and has an incredible knowledge of music. Amy is obsessed with drag, cats, plants, and when she’s not out by the pool, you can find her gardening, crafting, or shaking her ass!
